The 1st Story Starter Contest Rules 1. Each story MUST contain one of the lines from The Story Starter. The line must be exactly as The Story Starter generates it. 2. Write a story using one of the millions of The Story Starter sentences. The story can contain no more than 300 words, including your title. 3. The winner will receive a $25.00 Amazon Gift Certificate. If this contest works out well, we'll increase the prize next time. :) The winner's story will also be shown on The Story Starter site. 4. In addition to the winning story, other stories may be used on The Story Starter site. 5. All stories must be submitted by midnight (Eastern Time) on Friday, August 18, 2006. The winner will be announced on September 1, 2006. 6. Stories should be "G-Rated" since this site is seen by folks of all ages. 7. This contest is open to anyone who is 13 years and older. [That's a legal thingie.] 8. The decision of the judges will be final. 9. By submitting a story to this contest, you agree to allow your story to be shown on The Story Starter site. You retain the copyright for your story and all other rights. To submit a story send it by email to contest@thestorystarter.com. No attachements...just include the story within the email. |
